Final preparations are under way for this year’s Three Lochs Festival, which takes place this Saturday and promises to be bigger and better than ever. The festival of arts and literature takes place every two years in Strontian, and is well worth the effort of getting along to.
Anyone who has been before can vouch for the varied programme of activities laid-on for all ages and interests, including drama, music, film, photography and, of course, lots of books and literature. This year one of the actors from the hugely popular Outlander television series will be sharing some behindthe- scenes secrets.
This year’s festival kicks off with a musical production of No Petticoats Here by Louise Jordan at The Highland Bookshop in Fort William tonight (Thursday) and closes with a contemporary folk music evening in Strontian, from BBC Radio Two Folk Musician of the Year Tim Edey, ably supported by Jed Grimes.
