A Kinlochleven man has pleaded guilty to two charges of assault when he appeared at Fort William SherifiCourt on Wednesday February 27.
Paul Alexander Anderson, 53, of Lovat Road, admitted to assaulting a child in Kinlochleven on Saturday August 5 and Tuesday 15, 2017, in that he struck them on the buttocks with a wooden spoon and threw a towel at the child’s head and their eye, causing injury to the child on both occasions. However, SherifiEilidh MacDonald has deferred sentencing to a later date in March. On both of these occasions the accused sent text messages afferwards inquiring about the child’s wellbeing.
SherifiMacDonald deferred sentencing and asked for a criminal justice report. She told Anderson: ‘ffese are serious off ences against a child.’ Anderson also pleaded not guilty to another charge in relation to the child and will appear in court for trial at a later date.
