Pamela, nine, cleans up beach instead of fun

A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl is doing her bit to keep Ganavan Sands in Oban clean, opting to pick up litter instead of ‘having fun’.

Pamela, a pupil at the town’s Park Primary School, was taking advantage of the hot weather by going to the beach, where she noticed that a rabbit hole was blocked by rubbish.

It was then that Pamela told her mum that she wanted to clean the beach. Mum Aga Ingram said: ‘I wasn’t really surprised too much when she said it as she is always very kind and helpful, but what was surprising was that she was willing to give up having fun on such a great day.
