DALMALLY SALE: September 17

United Auctions had a catalogued entry of MORE THAN 6,000 lambs and sheep at Dalmally Auction Mart. All classes sold at similar rates to the previous Saturday sale. Blackface lambs sold to average £37.53 per head or 135.95 pence per kilo as against £35.99 or 130.87 at the corresponding sale last year. The overall average price for all classes of lambs was £42.57 per head or 156.71 per kilo against £37.39 and 139.60 pence per kilo at last year and for 2300 head more sold on the year.
