Sleigh ride awaits poetry winners

SANTA’S little Lochaber helpers have been chosen.

The Lochaber Rotary’s annual poetry competition attracted more than 80 entries and gave the judges, Jodie Ferguson and Janice MacLeod of Ferguson Transport and Shipping, a challenging time to choose the winners.

After several hours of reading and comparing, the top two spots were awarded to five-year-old Jack Michael Sprague from Tulloch near Roybridge who attends Banavie Primary School and Maria Sutherland, age 8, from Lundavra Primary.
