LAST weekend saw 16 men from Scottish Water offices in Skye, Inverness and Fort William cycle more than 500 miles around the Highlands raising money for Water Aid and Highland Hospice.
Dubbed the ‘Highland 500’, the team set out from UHI in Inverness on Thursday June 22 and travelled through the Cairngorms, Fort William, Glencoe, Ardnamurchan, Mallaig and Skye before heading up the west coast to Applecross, Ullapool, Ledmore and the Black Isle before returning to Inverness - a total of 525 miles.
