MAY WAS the driest month since October 2016 in Plockton with only 1.5 inches of rain and 19 dry days. The warmest day was a record high for May at 28.3°C and coolest was 5.1°C The Lochalsh branch of Legion Scotland continues to raise funds by holding bingo sessions at Balmacara House and on Wednesday June 14 members raised £252.

Lochalsh Junior Pipe Band, recently crowned British champions in its category at Paisley, played at Plockton car park on Monday June 5 and Monday June 12. Many locals and visitors enjoyed the performances.
