NEVIS Range welcomed the first snow of winter at the weekend as the ski resort hopes for a bumper season. Staff at the Fort William ski resort turned up to work on Saturday morning to find a light dusting of snow covering the 750 metres of Aonach Mor.
Another heavy snow shower overnight turned that into a more generous covering on Sunday, reaching right down past the top gondola station. After a poor winter season last year, the ski resort will be hoping this November snow is a sign of things to come and it continues to fall.
