Yoga for schools
Yoga and other mindfulness activities can help schoolchildren better manage anxiety and stress, a new study from Tulane University in New Orleans shows. It is the latest piece of academic research to support yoga’s beneficial effect on childrens’ wellbeing.
Published in Psychology Research and Behaviour Management Journal, the study states: “[The] effect of mindful ness and yoga on quality of life for elementary school students and teachers” suggested that “yoga/mindfulness interventions may improve symptoms of anxiety among students”.
