Parchment Craft  |  March 2007
This month’s magazine picks up where last month left off - ideas for special cards for special people. This time it’s Mums who are the subject and we feature a selection of projects that will work for Mother’s Day, mums’ birthdays or - with a simple change of greeting - a great many other recipients and occasions.
There are likely candidates from Dorothy Holness, Ann Jennings, Tina Cox, Christine Coleman, Barbara Barker, Anne Rowntree and Lyn Selby. On other fronts, a particularly appealing card comes from Judith Maslen with her flower child design that exactly reflects the magic age of discovery.
Elsie Franklin suggests introducing pressed flowers to parchment with some preserved snowdrops, Pat Wing works with real lace and beads while a couple of rare graduation day cards come from Alison Yeates.
Basic techniques continue to be the subject of Christine Coleman’s Workshop and this month she conducts a beginner’s course on embossing with ball tools.
