It seems like faint praise to celebrate System Shock 2 – an epoch-defining game of enduring influence – because the signage is good. But by God, this is a game that knows how to direct me.
I’m assailed by fat, welcoming arrows that disintegrate any doubt about where I am or where I’m going, and it’s one of many elements that mean System Shock 2 remains wickedly immediate 22 years after release.
