One of Logitech’s big sells for this wired keyboard and mouse combo is that the keyboard has a similar keystroke to a laptop’s, allowing users to be “instantly familiar” with its “fluid keystrokes”. I think the copywriter needs to have a lie down; yes, some people will appreciate the short, sharp (and noisy) click of this keyboard, but I didn’t notice my keystrokes becoming any more or less fluid. In terms of function, most everything is here, and much of it comes courtesy of Logitech’s neat Tune software. This allows you to reprogram all the function keys and the various icon shortcuts – so the cut, copy and paste buttons that sit above the insert, home and page up key scan be turned into any shortcut you wish. For example, open a favourite app, hide the desktop, skip a music track. The choices are almost endless.
