Buttermere – an exercise in willpower
After travelling to the Lake District countless times over the autumn months, everything was good on a morning of photographic jealousy
Lens Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Exposure 1/60 sec, f/8, ISO400
The Lake District – is it an Autumnal Mecca of golden light, or a thankless seven hour motorway slog in the pouring rain? I ask myself this question annually. Based in the South West of England, I watch the October weeks with anticipation.
Halfway through the third week, the words "I knew it!" echo around m living room as I stand in disbelief staring at BBC Weather as Storm Predictable unleashes its autumn ruining fury.
