Letter of the Month
I have subscribed to PhotoPlusfor about six years, I enjoy reading the articles and learning new techniques and putting them in to practice. After reading Brian Worley’s Software Solutions article in your February 2021 magazine, it inspired me into attempting something different, and as we were in lockdown I didn’t need to venture far. After playing around with some jam jars I decided to shoot from a raised position to get more depth to the image, but struggled focusing sharply across the jar lids with the narrow depth of field. So I used the Photo Project 3 by Dan Mold in the November 2019 issue to help me with the focus stacking technique. I then merged some suitable macro images, and after some post work in Photoshop, cloning, dodging and burning, and so on, I ended up with these images. I hope you like them.
