Deep Learning is similar to AI, in that the camera teaches itself how to differentiate the human form in a scene by analyzing a massive library of reference images. Say you’re shooting a skier with a helmet and goggles on, or a motorcycle rider wearing a helmet. The camera will detect the human shape and knows that it should be focusing on the person’s head, even though the person’s face might be obscured.
