Take your image-making in a new direction with mirrorless cameras
As well as capturing fast subjects more easily and with better image quality, there’s also a host of technology inside EOS R cameras that can enable you to be more creative too.
Take focus bracketing, for example, which is available on the high-end EOS R5 and R6 cameras, and the entry-level EOS RP, but not on the EOS R. This technology allows you to automatically record a sequence of pictures that can be stacked together in software to extend the depth of field. It’s designed for macro and close-up photography, where depth of field is typically very shallow, even when using smaller aperture settings. You tell the camera how many shots you want to take and it will automatically record the sequence, changing the focus distance for each shot to give the desired coverage.
