See summer blooms
Unsurprisingly, summer is a great time for flowers! After the first blooms of early spring, our gardens continue to welcome colourful flowers throughout the warm summer months, and in the UK, you can see everything from sunflowers and dahlias to hydrangeas and fuchsias. If you’re not much of a gardener yourself, but still want to experience summer’s most beautiful flora, why not visit a local flower field?
Lavender fields are especially lovely in July; the purple perennial usually blooms between June and August, but is usually at its best in the early weeks of July. There are plenty of options throughout the country, such as Cotswold Lavender in Worcestershire, Norfolk Lavender in Heacham, and Yorkshire Lavender in Terrington. You’ll be able to enjoy the unique scent of the flowers, and support the businesses by buying their own sustainable products, such as beauty products and food items.
