My Sister and Other Lovers

BOHEMIANS! Don’t you just love them, what with their feckless lifestyles, their unreliability, their turning up late, or not at all, and the poor girls among their number who, wondering where boyfriend, sister and sister’s chum have got to on Christmas Day, nip upstairs to find the first two scoring heroin in the bedroom and the third sitting on the lavatory with a syringe sticking out of her arm? (This latter scenario may sound an exaggeration, but in fact supplies a finale to one of My Sister and Other Lovers’ most arresting lowlife episodes.)
