HAZE
Back To The Bones GABADON
Sheffield’s cult neo-proggers return to the fold in fine style.
In the 80s heyday of the neo-prog scene one would see Sheffield’s Haze on the bill at the Marquee with Solstice or Pendragon, or playing clubs up and down the UK with the likes of IQ and Pallas. Led by brothers Paul and Chris McMahon, the defiantly indie unit gave it their all but never really broke past cult status, calling it quits in 1988. A slight return with 2013’s The Last Battle - packed with flutes, rocky riffs and an almost heraldic approach - showed Haze still had some juice, and this new album only confirms it.
