Caro Giles shares an extract from her brave new memoir, Twelve Moons – a story for anyone who has ever struggled to find the words
This month, I am excited to share with you a glimpse of my forthcoming memoir, Twelve Moons, which explores many of the themes I write about here. Following the moons over the course of a year, it is the story of what it is to feel at once alone and surrounded, sometimes confined to my home, other times immersed in the landscape.
Although it is my story, Twelve Moons is universal, highlighting the fact that we are never really alone. It is an invitation to look for the magic, to scratch below the surface of our everyday activities to discover what lies beneath. It is for anyone who has ever lost themselves and struggled to raise their voice. It is a tale of taking the road less travelled and wondering where it will lead. Exploring loss, but full of love, Twelve Moons is set in a world of ancient hills and wild beaches that shimmer under wide skies.
