Venerated as a champion of Victorian and 20th century ceramics in British art pottery including Martinware, Moorcroft and De Morgan and an enthusiastic publisher of 100-plus specialist titles that are benchmarks for dealers, collectors and auctioneers, Richard Dennis is appealing to ATG readers for help with two new titles he wants to publish.
Talking from his Somerset home, Dennis (right) said: “Our publications business is still operating but with not as many new titles as before – our book on Stuart glass has been written but we’re having real problems with the illustrations, due to Covid.
“We have two small books we want to progress. One is on 19th century damask napery and the other on French pochoir printed pottery but we’re struggling to find enthusiasts to research and write the texts, ideally an intern or a mature student who has an interest in the subject.
