Etive Vikings RFC hosted the third Mini Rugby Dalriada Festival of the season at Taynuilt Sports Field on Sunday. Teams participated from Mid Argyll, Oban Lorne, Lochaber, Isle of Mull along with hosts Etive Vikings with all turning out in encouraging numbers building on previous festivals held in Mid Argyll and over on Mull. This season mini rugby teams have been trialing Scottish Rugby’s new age grade law variations that aim to enhance the skill level and development of young players while creating a faster and more enjoyable game. The new laws have complemented the play in the Dalriada season so far with some fantastic running rugby on display.
