SCOTTISH Water subsidiary Business Stream has confirmed the Supply Point Identification Number (SPID) assigned to Kilmonivaig Church, near Spean Bridge, has been removed.
It follows the row, recently reported by the Lochaber Times, over church trustees receiving separate water bills for the church and adjoining church hall, despite the fact the 200-year-old church itself has never had a water supply. A long-running tussle with church treasurer John Fotheringham seems to have been resolved, with Business Stream confirming the church SPID had been cancelled from its listings.
