The cover of PVW June 22 features Aaron Stehly’s Mk1, which is one of the best we’ve ever seen and that’s before you start delving into the other hot rod-inspired parts of the build. It’s insane! Elsewhere in the issue, we bring you Chris Baird’s 510bhp Mk7 Golf Clubsport, a JDM-inspired Passat R36 on air suspension, and a Helios Blue Mk2 Jetta running more rare OEM+ parts than we’ve seen in a build. Demonstrating we can appreciate a sensibly modified car (or two), we’ve bagged a pair of stunning Mk7 Clubsports and when it comes to event coverage, we have reports from the water-cooled season opener, Ultimate Dubs, plus we head to the Pod for the VWDRC’s pre-season test day.
