Isle of Wight Class 483 project is back on track
The scene at Holliers Park, Isle of Wight on June 25, may give the impression the project to preserve the EMU has stalled, but this is certainly not the case. The area is fenced off for security, being classified as a ‘building site’, and the weeds can be easily cleared and replaced with decking when necessary. The former London 1938 stock cars, DMS(A) No. 10205 (BR No. 124) and DMS(B) No. 11205 (BR No. 224) are being restored to pre-Isle of Wight condition, hence no yellow ends.

THE project to adapt former Island Line Class 483 EMU set No. 483004 for use as a cafe/ restaurant and museum at Holliers Park, Branstone, Isle of Wight (RM November 2021) is definitely on-going, despite appearances at the site.
