The plan below is based on a 25-metre pool. Pool lengths vary and you could fi nd your local baths is anything from 20 to 60 metres long, so ask at reception how long the pool is and adapt the session as necessary. You’ll need a swimming costume, goggles and a swim cap, as well as usually 20p or £1 for your locker (again, check at reception). A pull buoy is a good investment too, if you need to avoid using your legs completely for now. You can buy one fairly cheaply or some pools will have them for you to use.
