You know how you read so many race reports and everyone bangs on about how well organised they are? Um, this is going to be no different. You see, the thing is, the Scottish 10K is extraordinarily well organised. The size of the race seems to be part of the reason why it all feels so manageable – there were just under 1500 runners.
It was simple to find the event at Musselburgh Racecourse, just outside of Edinburgh. There were lots of portaloos near the start of the race, as well as lovely, warm inside ones a little further back. There were plenty of marshalls around for panicky questions, and a friendly office should you need to pick up your unsent race number, as I did.
