CLASSIC TRACTION
July 6 saw Spa Valley Railway-based Class 207 No. 1317 re-enact its use on the last day of British Rail passenger services between Eridge and Tunbridge Wells Central. It took place 40 years to the day after the line was closed by BR. The ‘Thumper’ gained reproduction stickers identical to those carried on the original services and it is seen here at Eridge with the 1300 to Tunbridge Wells West.
