INTO THE DAYLIGHT
Consett Iron Company No.10 made a rare move outside when it was on display at the North Tyneside Steam Railway’s Diesel Gala on July 6. The unusual shunter, which was constructed in-house by its employers, is currently out of use awaiting a set of new batteries. The gala also saw residents No.03078 and No.08915 jointly in charge of the line’s demonstration freight train. Also present during the event was TIC No.35, on loan from the Tanfield Railway.
