Torrington return:
Preserved ‘Pacer’ No. 143617 starred at the Grand Reopening Event at the Tarka Valley Railway (Torrington, Devon) on August 5, which marked the return of passenger services to the station since ‘The Last Atlantic Coast Express’ railtour on November 6, 1982. The Tarka Valley Railway has so far relaid 300 yards of track towards Bideford, but hopes to extend as funding allows. Pictured next to the unit (from left) are guard from the first train Adam Morrice, guard from the last train Graham Braund, driver from the first train Brad Lambert and driver from the last train Fred Cole.
