>> This month we walk through Capcom’s arcade history with its new compilation, find out if Yacht Club Games’ follow-up to Shovel Knight is any cop and take a look at the Switch revision of Super Mario 3D World
PICKS OF THE MONTH
DARRAN
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
While it’s great to now own another portable Strider machine, I’ve really been enjoying Mario’s latest platformer and its exceptionally jaunty soundtrack.
NICK
Cyber Shadow
I’ve anticipated what Yacht Club Games would do after Shovel Knight for a long time now, so this has really caught my attention.
Capcom is no stranger to retro compilations and has been repacking its classic arcade games since the late Nineties. With that in mind you’d expect its latest effort to be pretty good and while Capcom Arcade Stadium isn’t perfect, it does a great job of recapturing the arcade experience of old and jazzing the included games up with several neat ways to play them.
