Rugby League World

524 As the backroom wrangling over a potential investment in the British game by the NRL continues, the business end of the season on the pitch is well and truly upon us. Trophies are on the line and World Cup places are up for grabs. We meet Wakefield’s Kiwi wrecking crew Caleb Hamlin-Uele and Caius Faatili, whose impact from the bench has played a major part in Trinity’s continued rise up the table. Can our cover stars make it all the way to Old Trafford? Across West Yorkshire, Tom Holroyd will have something to say about that as he tells us how a punishing pre-season helped him produce his best rugby for table-topping Leeds. We also look ahead to some of the exciting new faces heading to Super League in 2027. Brad Singleton’s remarkable career has taken him from Barrow to some of the biggest stages in the game. Now back where it all began with the Barrow Raiders in the Championship, he reflects on that journey and explains why coaching Workington next year is the perfect challenge for him. The women’s game provides plenty of inspiration too. Leeds youngster Evie Cousins discusses a new generation hoping to bring the glory days back to Headingley, while Canada captain Megan Pakulis explains why the Ravens’ successful UK tour offers genuine hope for the game’s development back home. We also discover how a group of Dutch internationals are taking to the skies to develop their game with Rochdale Hornets. Kangaroos coach – and now future St Helens boss – Kevin Walters looks ahead to a home World Cup, while Australia’s Wheelchair captain Diab Karim has his sights set on completing a memorable year by taking on tournament favourites England and France.

The Pocketmags app runs on all iPad and iPhone devices running iOS 15.6 or above, Android 8.0 or above, and Amazon Fire Tablets from 2018 onwards, though owners of earlier Fire models can check the Amazon Appstore directly on their device to confirm compatibility.

For iOS users, we recommend using a device capable of running the latest version of iOS for optimal performance and stability, as older hardware with lower processing power and RAM may experience slower page rendering or occasional stability issues due to device memory limitations.
