In living colour A new exhibit unpicks Dame Zandra Rhodes’ design secrets
THE HOLBURNE MUSEUM, BATH 24 January-10 May holburne.org Known for vibrant, screen-printed designs, Dame Zandra Rhodes clothed stars such as Freddie Mercury and Princess Diana, and founded London’s Fashion and Textile Museum. This exhibition showcases the work of the famed designer, now 85, from the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties. Each section explores the story behind a particular print and how it was turned into garments.

ON TOUR 29 January-2 May twohalvesofguinness.com It’s been 25 years since the death of actor Sir Alec Guinness, whose career included an Oscar win, 50 films, and nearly 70 plays, though he feared he’d only be remembered as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars. This one-man show celebrates his life, with Zeb Soanes starring as Sir Alec. It starts in Newbury’s Watermill Theatre, before visiting Colchester, Guildford, Bath, Norwich and London.
