What’s it all about:
This fiesta sees crowds having a wonderful time throwing tomatoes! A pole goes up in the town square, covered in soap with a huge ham on the end, and people try to reach it. Water soaks the ‘soldiers’, and at 11am a shot announces the start. Tomato ‘ammunition’ trucks appear, the crowd rushes for their ‘bullets’, and soon everything turns red. A second shot signals the end of the battle, and the brave participants are hosed down.

LA TOMATINA DOLL
Follow the Basic Doll pattern on page 3 unless other instructions are listed, using foll colours: Rounds 1-17 of left Arm using Sandcastle. Round 18 of left Arm using Shower, ss in each st around. (Working through bl of ss and both loops of Round 15) dc in each st around. [2 rounds] Rounds 19-20 of left Arm using Shower.
