Brick Stitch, Chain Stitch, Buttonhole Stitch, Fishbone Stitch, French Knot, Lazy Daisy, Satin Stitch, Split Back Stitch

This abstract September leaf incorporates a variety of colours and techniques, resulting in a lovely textured artwork. Feel free to experiment with your own colour palette to create something uniquely yours.

PREPARATION

1 Place fabric into a 7in hoop, ensuring the fabric is drum-tight. Cut out the pattern and tape it to the reverse side of the fabric, with the design facing up. Trace the pattern onto the front of the fabric using your pen or pencil and a light source. Remove the paper pattern from the back. 1
