Behind the scenes with The Shop on the Borderlands, home to new and out-of-print RPGs

There’s fear of missing out, and then there’s regret that you did. How many times have you said “I wish I’d bought that at the time”, or “I wish I’d learnt how to play that game”? Mark and Victoria had just that feeling, leading to them becoming owners of The Shop On The Borderlands, a space for you to find and purchase out-of-print (and new) RPGs – plus a few fun extras too! We caught up with Mark for a behind-the-scenes look at the shop.
VENTURING INTO THE BORDERL ANDS
“Once upon a time I had an RPG collection, and life got in the way of actually playing most of those games,” Mark begins, a story we feel we can easily relate to. “Victoria was running her own website development and marketing agency, and I was working for her as finance director at the time. It was Victoria who had the light bulb moment and suggested that we could turn that collection into opening stock for an online store.”
Whilst many of us probably feel like we’ve got enough games to start a store – or at least someone in the household thinks so! – it’s one thing to have a fair amount of potential stock, but another to be able to say goodbye to them. Mark agreed:
