Unfrogettable, or toad-al rubbish?
SNATCH IT!
Designer: Christwart Conrad | Publisher: Heidelbar
You can’t have too many filler card games (fact), so if you’re hunting for a new one, it’s well worth looking for Snatch It! Don’t be put off by the cartoony froggy theme, as while this does slot safely into the family card game category, there’s enough going on to keep your gamer pals happy, too.
Snatch It! has its roots in the fishing/ladder climbing card game traditions, as you’ll be playing numbered cards to match or beat others to claim cards/score points. However, there are enough clever little twists to make it stand out. The game has 108 purple and orange cards (54 of each) numbered 1-6, plus nine blue Swarm cards that can be used as a 0 or 7. These are shuffled into a deck and players start each round with five or six cards (depending on player count). Each player then puts a card into the middle of the table, or ‘The Pond’.
