CONTINGENCY
When did ConTigency begin?
ConTingency ran for the first time in January 2017. It was created in response to players wanting something to fill the gap in their calendar when Conception folded due to their venue no longer being available. We roped in help from much of the Conception team plus others who were keen to see a new event happen and started looking for a venue. We found a lovely holiday park in the New Forest with the humorous name of Sandy Balls and jumped straight into trying to run the best event we could.
How has the event changed since?
We added the option of using Warhorn to book games in advance and a code of conduct because we felt it important to be inclusive and welcoming to all, and set up a few Facebook groups where people can talk about games and give us feedback, but it’s still very much about illing ive days full of games and having fun with great people.
