I think it’s fair to say that we live in a golden era of Trading Card Games, or TCGs as they are affectionately known. In the past few years, we have seen Bandai release TCGs for Digimon, One Piece, Dragon Ball and literally everything else (Union Arena, a game with a different license every set) with the Gundam card game coming later this year as well. We’ve seen Disney Lorcana with an incredibly strong start from Ravensburger, a company the general public probably associates with puzzles, a new Star Wars card game from the same company as the ill-fated Destiny, a French-made card game where you can play as Santa Claus or Robin Hood (Altered) and League of Legends is even entering the fray later this year.
