WHAT IS DECK BUILDING
Here’s the rundown on deck-building games: you start with a small, rubbish deck of cards. The characters or powers on the cards are weak, with disappointing stats, and a generally uninspiring table presence.
Over the next few rounds, you are able to purchase new cards. Better cards. Not amazing ones, but much better than you had before. You shuffle them into your deck, and push on. One of the new cards comes out, and you have the best turn so far. Then again! You buy more cards, maybe burn a few of those old, rubbish ones. Each turn things get better and better - although the same is true for your opponent too.
