Traction  |  Sep-Oct 2020
In this issue of TRACTION we take a look at Lincoln Central in the 1980s, with its superb selection of semaphore signals and signal boxes. We also have editor, Stephen Rabone, describe a night in July 1975 when he spent fifteen hours at Stafford watching an incredible number and variety of trains during the evening and night hours.
Gavin Morrison looks at the Trans Pennine line between Manchester and the western end of Standedge Tunnel at Diggle plus Mick Humphrys concludes his article about driving electric multiple units on the North London Lines and Chris Lenton recalls a visit he made in the late 1990s to Milford Junction in Yorkshire which was something of a Mecca with frequent freight services.
We start a three part series of images taken on the Midland Main Line by photographer Kevin Lane with the first part covering the line south from Kettering to just north of Luton. In TRACTION MODELLING we feature Devonport Road which is based in Plymouth and features a leisure centre, naval dockyard and parcels traffic.
