Alpha recommends updates to the BUS
Home heating specialist Alpha (alphainnovation.co.uk) has called on the Labour government to introduce better support for homeowners looking to take steps in making their properties more sustainable. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers money off the cost and installation of heat pumps and biomass boilers. Alpha have suggested that a grant amount of £2,500 should be added for hybrid systems, following research that 53% of UK billpayers would be likely to utilise the scheme if hybrids were included.
