The Beast from the East may have sent the country into chaos, but some of the UK’s anglers were clearly not deterred! Paul Hunt braved the adverse conditions and was rewarded with a 15-fish catch to 39lb, in the snow, from Milton Abbas. Elsewhere, Devon’s Emperor Lakes produced the largest fish of the week in the form of a 40¾lb mirror landed by Clifford Baker. Ollie Ricotti banked a stunning brace of mirrors from Thorney Weir with a fish of 34¼lb-plus. Also having success in the snow, Josh Baker banked a dark, old 32½lb mirror from the New Forest Water Park.
Greg Ellis reveals his thoughts for the spring ahead – after a tough winter, he is determined to put a few fish on the bank. Single hookbait fishing can be a deadly tactic in early spring – Max Hendry details exactly how he goes about this fine art. We also take an in-depth look at the brand new Trakker Tempest Brolly V2 and Carpworld’s new editor, Rupert Whiteman, features in our Getting To Know segment.
We have over £248-worth of Nash Tackle Hook Sharpening Kits up for grabs. Plus, the monthly Nash Tackle winners are revealed.
