How did that happen? It only seemed like five minutes ago I was up and down the motorway, going to American car shows all over the country, or out in my 442 with the top down. But now, suddenly there’s mist on my car, brown leaves everywhere and ever-shorter days. Still, there’s always the NEC Classic Motor Show to look forward to on the second weekend of November, where the finalists of this year’s Kingstown Shipping-Vintage Tyres Car of the Year competition
will be displaying their cars (check ’em out on page 6 of News!) and the lucky winner will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
Winter isn’t all about hibernation though. For many American vehicle enthusiasts, it’s a time to plan road trips to America - check out Will Shier’s Vanishing Point Road Trip feature for inspiration on page 80, or Christopher Tilley’s profile of one of the greatest car museums in America, the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. If travel
