When Nia Finley star ted playing around with popsicle sticks, she had no idea how addictive it could become, and that she would end up using them so imaginatively. It star ted with little houses until she saw “book nooks” set in bookcases, and she was hooked. A fairy forest for a neighbour, a Hobbit House for a daughter, and a scene from Wind in the Willows for herself. Her sister wanted “Doors of Durin” , but Nia realised she didn’t like making trees, and the engraved door would be too difficult. Her sister settled for a Viking Village instead, but the village had to have a floating boat in front of the waterfall of course, and a raging torrent of water.
