The Tongue and Grooves Prose Poem Prize has a prize pot totaling over £1,000 and the first prize winner will be invited to read at Bookfest 2018 in Portsmouth. If you are not sure what a prose poem is you can read competition judge Michael Loveday’s thoughts on this form of poetry on the competition website. Tongue and Grooves is a not-for-profit organisation aiming to use poetry to ‘promote motivation, well-being and social inclusion and to provide platforms for established poets, musicians and emerging talent’.
You must be over the age of eighteen to enter the competition and all entries should be original poems that have not been previously published and not currently being submitted elsewhere for publication. The maximum length is fifty lines.
