Spring Song Press is a US small press specialising in ‘clean’ noble SF and fantasy with a strong leaning towards speculative fantasy. The team likes to publish ‘heroic, fantastic, beautiful, strange, heart-breaking, bittersweet, uplifting, clean, thought-provoking, weird, slipstream, magical works’. Give them ‘monsters and magic, deep, relatable characters, and imaginative worlds’ but be original; don’t follow the old familiar tropes. Read the publishing list on the website and note when novel submissions are open.
Short stories are currently wanted for an anthology, Shards, for stories that thematically explore its title, ‘Shards of lives, shards of a broken heart, shards of broken pottery or glass, shards of myth and memory’. Deadline is 1 February, 2018.
