Pintsized Plays is open for entries to its 2016 writing competition.
The international competition is for short plays of up to ten minutes. Winning plays are performed at pubs in Pembrokeshire, and six selected winners and four runners up will go forward to be performed at a Pintsized Plays Script Slam at Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard, where audience members will vote for their favourite. All ten plays will be considered for publication in a volume of scripts and will be performed at the Brighton Fringe in 2016.
All entries should be between five and ten minutes long, have minimal props, two or three characters, and be capable of being staged in a pub. Enter scripts as Word docs or pdfs and include a synopsis (500-character limit) in the online submission form. The author’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a completed entry form, which can be downloaded from the website from April onwards if you are submitting by post. Online submissions are preferred.
