The ‘How Vegan Is Your Home’ infographic, compiled and created by the team at Hillary’s interiors (hillarys.co.uk), has found that a large proportion of new vegans struggle to ensure that their home aligns with their beliefs.
More than 1,300 UK-based vegans were questioned on their experiences of adapting to their new lifestyle, and how it afected diferent aspects of their everyday lives. When shown Hillary’s infographic, it was found that 66 per cent of vegans didn’t realise that at least one or more of the products highlighted on it contained animal products, and currently had the items within their own homes. Furthermore, 72 per cent of respondents admitted that they’d only changed what they ate in order to become vegan, with less thought given about the non-vegan products still present within their homes. More than half of respondents disclosed that they’d made some efort to create a more vegan-friendly household, but that they’d struggled to know what products were and were not vegan.
