We set out to find the best option for a road trip down to La Rochelle and back
When I was
a kid, my parents took my sister and me on several family holidays where we drove to France, Spain or Italy, instead of flying. And this sort of trip can still be an appealing option today: no need to pack light (always a bonus when you’ve got little ones) or spend hours at crowded airports, plus it’s easy to get around when you arrive. But do the disadvantages outweigh the advantages
if you’ve got an electric car? How hard is it to charge on the Continent? And just how frequently must you stop?
